• Backyard Travel has added two new China tours: a 10-day Best and Brightest package visiting major sites in Beijing and Shanghai and a 13-day Roads and Kingdoms tour, which includes an express lesson in Chinese, a sunrise picnic on the Great Wall, a visit to a panda breeding centre in Chengdu and rock climbing in Yangshou.

• Emirates will operate an additional Airbus A380 service on its Johannesburg route from December 15 – January 13, leaving Johannesburg at 13h10 and Dubai at 04h10. Rebooking subject to availability.

• Air Seychelles has early bird fares ex-JNB to Mumbai from R4,797 and Seychelles from R5,458. Business class fares are from R10,064 and R13,953. Book before November 24, 2017 for travel January 15 – June 15.

• El Al has promotional fares ex-JNB from R7,500 for travel January 9 – March 5. (U-Class; last return on/before March 9). book by November 24.
