• Delta Air Lines will introduce its Delta Comfort product on flights to South Africa after January 22. It was launched in March as an upgrade from main cabin and sold as a separate fare class. Passengers get extra legroom and recline, dedicated overhead bin space and an amenity bag. Meals and drinks are free on Delta’s international flights.

• British Airways’ mixed fleet cabin crew have accepted a new pay deal from the airline, ending their long-running dispute, which resulted in 85 strike days.

• British Airways will start two new North America services from Gatwick next year: Las Vegas from March 27 and Gatwick – Toronto from May 1.

• Emirates Holidays has extended a free UAE visa promotion for new packages sold and paid in full until November 14. Valid for travel until March 31 for 30-day or 96-hour visas only.

Bookings are open for a new Alaska programme by Cunard. Queen Elizabeth will operate its first Alaska season in 20 years, with four round-trip sailings between May 21 and June 30, 2019. Features six destinations including the Hubbard Glacier and Inside Passage. Bookings before March 5, 2018 qualify for additional onboard credits.

• LATAM has an economy fare promotion, for sale until November 30, for travel to São Paulo from R11,695; Rio from R13,880; Santiago from R13,710 and Buenos Aires from R14,135.

• Mauricia Beachcomber Resort & Spa has received two awards from PADI International, for 20 years of service and Outstanding Achievement in Diver Training. The resort’s diving centre is based in Grand Bay.
