CLUB Med is adding four more destinations to its network, with plans for new resorts in Quebec, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and the Seychelles.

The company will open two new mountain resorts, in Japan and France, in December.

MD South Africa, Olivier Hannaert, said the new openings were in line with Club Med’s strategy to open five new resorts each year between now and 2020.

Its Ceylon resort in south-western Sri Lanka will open in 2019, Le Massif de Charlevoix in Quebec from 2020. Ho Tram, near Ho Chi Minh City, will follow in 2021.

A 5-Trident Exclusive Collection Resort on Sainte Anne Island in Seychelles, formerly a Beachcomber property, will open in 2020.

Club Med will work alongside New Mauritius Hotels, which operates Beachcomber resorts in Mauritius, and has signed a leasing agreement with NMH.

Approximately €70-million will be invested, with plans to increase from 87 rooms to 300.
