EMIRATES will introduce fully-enclosed private suites as part of a new first class product and multi-million dollar upgrade. The interiors will debut on the carrier’s latest Boeing 777 aircraft from December 1, with a 1-1-1 configuration.

Emirates piloted a first class private suite concept in 2003 and has made several refinements over the years.

Design highlights include a fully-flat bed that can be placed in a zero-gravity position inspired by NASA technology. There are virtual windows in the middle aisle, room service, wireless controls and a personal minibar. The airline has partnered with Mercedes Benz to provide a fleet of S-Class cars that will be used for complimentary chauffeur services.

Improvements are also being made in the new 777s’ economy and business-class cabins.

President, Tim Clark described the new product as “a game changer”.
